History of the Clan of Ostoja

DNA of Ostoja

The Ostoja DNA project on FTDNA wish to establish the origin of Ostoja families and how they are related to each other. The DNA results of the tests are very important also in order to establish the origin of the Clan of Ostoja and the main line, most probably dynastic of Moscic and Stibor's. The project give also light over the question how the Clan was formed and in which way they inherit the Ostoja coat of arms minding that Ostoja vel Hostoja was in the beginning a battle cry for all the groups of knight that fought under the command of the Duke that origin from dynastic tribe leaders before the first Piast and that later created a line of Moscic and Stibors that finally become Ostoja.

List of all confirmed ostoja families according to modern sources and veryfied by modern scientist's in the field of genealogy. There are many names missing when comparing to the list of Gajl or Znamierowski that lately published books about polish nobility with connected families regarding Ostoja and them reason of that is that the source cannot verify family belonging to Ostoja since documents are not reliable enough to determine true origin.

Ostoja Clan Foundation

The main purpose of the Foundation is to integrate families of Ostoja in one body so we together can act more powerful and be able to help each other. It is also continuation of ancient humanity values of Ostoja and the tradition that care of people in need and motivate youth to study, giving them support that is required.

The Ostoja Clan Foundation is organization that unite our families for common purpose and goals according to the Statue of the Foundation.
