History of Boguszewski family
Boguszewski - noble line of Ostoja. Family origin from the property of Bogusze in Drohiczyn land, Podlaskie Voivodeship. In year 1564, Marcin de Boguszewo was the owner of the property. Family hold several offices in Lublin and Podlasie land, they where chamberlain's, bailiff's and officers.
History of the family
This family proved to be of noble origin during the time of King Jan Kazimierz in Warszaw year 1686. Documents state that Marcin, the owner of the property of Bogusze in Drochice land had two sons, Stanisław and Trojana. Stanisław Boguszewski (born 1560) with wife Małgorzat Zalesk (born 1570) had a son Paweł (born around year 1600), that married to Anną Rudzieńska. Kazimierz Boguszewski, son of Anny and Paweł, was owner of the property of Górowo in year 1668. Together with his wife Zofia Piegłowska he had a son Jan Kazimierz, that held the office of bauliff in Lublin around year 1690 and few years later he become burggraf in Czersk. In the end he also received nomination as District Clerk in Stężyce. He had two wifes, first Zuzanna Wólecka, ansd second from Łączyński family.
Sons of Jan Kazimierz: Michał, Józef and Stanisław, canon of Kiev in 1733. Of them, Michał become Steward of Latyczowo and burggraf of Czersk, married to Maryanna Zawisza. Józef married to Zofia Bobicka, and with her he had a son Leopold. Konstancya, sister of Leopold married to Paszkowski and after that to Szczucki.
Trojan, second son of Marcin, had sons: Jakób and Stanisław. Of them, Jakób married to Katarzyna Fałkowska and with her he had two sons, Walenty and Stanisław that married to Magdalena Korzeniowska and with her had a son Jakób. They where also witnessing the nobility confirmation of Jan Kazimierz.
Augustyn and Aleksander, Cupbearer of Bielsk in 1783 elected Dtanisław August as King of Poland signing for Sandomierz land. Both attended the act of the confirmation of nobility i Galicja year 1782 a the Court of Bielsk and where owners of the property of Boguszewo. No CoA was named. Jan Franciszek, son of Antoni and Anny Bolesta, sold part of property of Kalinowiec to Ossoliński i year 1781. Michał, son of Benedykt and Regina Jaszczołt, sold part of the property Bogusze in year 17621. Stanisław, syn of Benedykt and Ewa Wińska, sold part of the property of Chroły in year 1796 r.
Krzysztof Boguszewski was well knowned painer in Greater Poland, died in Poznan year 1635.
