Balicki- Erazm Balicki established Hunting Association in year 1929 with office in Warsaw. His son Joseph, assisted his father in some individual hunting, and later joined the Association. The outbreak of the war in 1939 interrupted the education of the young hunter Balicki. During the occupation, Joseph Balicki was a soldier in Fighting Diversion Division VII District "collar" of Armia Krajowa and he also fought in the Warsaw Uprising. After the war, he was imprisoned by the secret police NKVD and deported to Russia. After returning from a Soviet concentration camp, he passed the exam to study at the Faculty of Architecture of Warsaw University of Technology and joined the Polish Hunting Association. After graduation, he began working as an architect, and hunting has become a passion for life. After Stalinism, Joseph Balicki was in year 1956 admitted to the newly formed Hunting Association in Mazury called "Lynx" in Dźwierzutu.

The exhibition at the Museum of Mazury in Szczytno presents medal hunting trophies collected by Joseph Balicki in the Masurian hunting districts. The exhibition was organized with the support of Szczycieński County "Society of friends of Museum in Szczytno" at Museum of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn
