Janiszewski family belig to the Lesser Poland - Krakow group and are younger line of Chełmski family from Podgórze krakowskie and that settled down in Mazowsze in the property of Janiszewo. Other blood related families that belong to same family Janiszewski are Poniecki, Turznicki, Rokosz, Teliński and Zajarski. There are other families in the Lesser Poland - Krakow group that could also belong to same family but owning other properties and calling themselves after the property.
