Drugi Zjazd Rodu Ostoja 4-6 lipca odbył się tradycyjnie na posiadłości Ostoya w Jasionce koło Rzeszowa. Ponad 60 osób reprezentujące ponad 20 rodzin Ostoi zebrało się razem tworząc znakomite spotkanie osób związanych z wielkim Rodem Ostoi.

W piątek 4-go lipca zebraliśmy się przy wspólnym grillu poznając wiele nowych ciekawych osób które po raz pierwszy przyjechały na Zjazd. Ponieważ otwarcie Zjazdu było zaplanowane na godzinę 12 w sobotę, piątkowe posiedzenie trwało do późnej nocy a że towarzystwo było jak na Ostoję przystało mocne, mieliśmy naprawdę udane spotkanie.

Second Annual meeting of the Clan of Ostoja 4-6th of July was traditionaly held at the Ostoya estate in Jasionka, close to the town of Rzeszów. Over 60 members of the Clan representing over 20 Ostoja families, joined together in excellent meeting of the great Clan of Ostoja.

On friday 4th of July, we started with causal grill by the pool, meeting old and new members of the Clan. It was really relaxing and pleasent meeting and because the opening of the Annual Meeting was scheduled at 12 next day, friday grill continued far after the evening and was continued at the night. It was great experience to see intergation of the Clan moving so well forward!

Drugi Zjazd Rodu Ostoja otworzył prezes Stowarzyszenia Rodu, Pan Rafał Ścibor Bogusławski. Jego przemówienie jest zapisane tutaj

The second Annual Meeting of the Clan of Ostoja was opened by Rafał Ścibor Bogusławski, Chairman of the Board of the Clan Association. His statement is presented here in polish language.

Prelekcja Pana Andrzeja Soleckiego

Pierwsza prelekcja II Zjazdu została wygłoszona przez Pana Andrzeja Soleckiego. Skrót prelekcji jest zamieszczony tutaj.

Pan Solecki w bardzo interesujący sposób poruszył temat pochodzenia Rodu Ostoja jak również przytoczył bardzo zaawansowaną hipotezę pochodzenia Smoka ziejącego ogniem w klejnocie Ostoi. Słuchaliśmy z zainteresowaniem o kulturze Scytów, o Samratach królewskich i symbolu Smoka. Przedstawione były również herby książąt ruskich z których pieczęć z herbem księcia połockiego Izdisława z r. 1150 jest prawie identyczy z pieczęcią wojewody Jana z Jani z XIV wieku i z herbem Ostoi z XIII wieku wyrytym na murach Kościoła w Wysocicach.

Jeżeli nie ma zbiegu okoliczności, hipoteza Pana Soleckiego jest kluczem do rozwiązania zagadki o pochodzeniu Rodu Ostoi. My Ostoje jesteśmy więc chyba wszyscy Smokami Sarmackimi!

First speach of the Annual Meeting was presented by Andrzej Solecki. Summary of the speach is presented here in polish language.

Andrzej Solecki presented very interesting and advanced theory about the origin of the Dragon in Ostoja. It was also very interesting to listen about Scythians, royal Sarmatians and the symbol of the Dragon. Several other interesting facts was presented, one of them is Coat of Arms of Russian princes of Połock where the Coat of Arms in the seal of prince Izdzisław from ab. 1150 is almost identical with the Coat of Arms presented in the seal of voivode Jan z Jani from XVth century and also almost identical with Coat of Arms of Ostoja from the walls of the Church in Wysocice ab. year 1230.

If there is no coincidence, the theory presented by Andrzej Solecki is the key that we was looking for in order to find early origin of the Clan of Ostoja. It seems that we Ostoja's are all Sarmatian Dragons!

Przerwa na Lunch - Break for Lunch

Po wyśmienitej prelekcji Pana Andrzeja Soleckiego, przyszedł czas na przerwę i lekki lunch. W czasie lunchu Państwo Jana i Marek Hajdovscy Potapowicze przedstawili projekt "Ostojki - ciastka z historia", który jest brany pod uwagę w projekcie "Parasola Ostoi". Ciastka rozeszły się jak świeże bułeczkia smakowały wybornie!

After great speach of Andrzej Solecki regarding our heritage and origin, there was a break for lunch. During the lunch, Jana and Marek Hajdovsky Potapovic presented their project "Ostojki - cookies with history" that is included in the project of "Ambrella of Ostoja". Cookies was there for a minute before all of them was consumed as they where very tasty!

Prelekcja Pana Adama Roguskiego

Po lunchu i pysznych ciastkach, przyszedł czas na następne prelekcje. Z różnych przyczyn, niestety nie odbyły się prelekcje Pani Politalskiej "od Jakuba do Jakuba" i Pana Janusza Janota Bzowskiego o rodzinie Bzowskich herbu Ostoja i Nowina. Te ciekawe referaty są planowane na następny Zjazd. Następna prelekcja dotyczyła wojen Wandejskich i rewolucji francuskiej i była wygłoszona przez Pana Adama Roguskiego. Ta ciekawa prelekcja, choć nie dotyczyła Rodu Ostoja, była bardzo ciekawa i nawiązywała ogólnie do zdarzeń, które w pewnym sensie wydarzały się również na ziemi polskiej i były bardzo przykre. Skrót prelekcji jest tutaj.

After the lunch and tasty cookies, it was time for next speach. Unfortunately and because of different reasons, two of them was postponed to next Annual Meeting. First of them was written by Barbara Politalska - "From Jakub to Jakub Politalski" and second of Janusz Janota Bzowski about Bzowski family of Ostoja and Nowina CoA. Next speach was then of Adam Roguski that presented war in Wendea during french revolution. This interesting speach did not directly touch the Dragon of Ostoja but it generally refered to the time when Poland also was a place of Uprisings. The consequences of those wars was bitter. Here is short summary of this important speach in polish language, important for us to remember and learn from.
