History of Chyżyński family

Chyżyński of Ostoja vel Chyżowski - ancient nobility and knights, old line of Ostoja. This line origin from the property of Chyżowic in Lviv coiunty. Mikołaj de Chyżowic is noted in the Court of Lviv in year 1497 r. and Jan Chyżowski is noted in the Court of Sanok in Podkarpacie in year 1496 r. Notes from Zydaczkowskie county tell abut Aleksandrze Chyżowski, that he was obligated to contribute with two horses for the war campagne.

In the land of Ciechanow - Jan , Wojciech, Mateusz and Antoni signed for the election of the King August II.
